CLAIRE Pettibone’s heavenly gowns have been setting the bridal scene abuzz. Citing 1920s Paris and Victorian lace among her inspirations, this Los Angeles designer’s intricately detailed dresses are quickly becoming a firm favourite among the more creative bride.
“A wedding gown has to be the most beautiful dress in a woman’s life, make her look and feel amazing and capture her essence,” says Pettibone. Her seamless blend of vintage and contemporary, teamed with subtle hints of champagne hues and antique lace create the most elegant gowns. “When I create a dress, it’s all about the fabric and the woman and how these elements are combined to enhance each other,” adds Pettibone.
